Import Payroll Data

Menu: File ~ Import Payroll Data
Button Panel: n/a

This process can import basic payee information from various sources. The data source lists the available options.

Kwik-Pay Payroll Data

Select the payroll database from which you wish to import employees and pay history. When you click OK, the payroll data select form will be displayed to ask you which pay groups and employees you wish to import from the selected payroll database, and which pay group in the current payroll the new employees are to be linked.

EMPDUPE ATO payment summary data (Australia only)

You can import payee name, address and year to date totals from an EMPDUPE file created by another payroll system, and employee bank accounts from an ABA format direct credit file.

When an EMPDUPE file is imported, a new payee record will be created for each employee listed in the EMPDUPE file.

ABA format direct credit file (Australia only)

Note that all the bank account information is added to payee standard pay items as bank deductions, with the amount set to the amount of the direct credit. If some of the bank information is intended to be used for remaining net pay, rather than a fixed amount, you will need to create a new bank deduction pay item, with a calculation method of "%Net" and a factor of 100, and then change the pay item in the payee, standard pay screen to the new deduction. A calculation method of "%Net" and factor of 100 will cause 100% of the net pay to be calculated for the deduction.

ACE Payroll Miscellaneous report file (New Zealand only)

This option will import payee information from a Miscellaneous report created by an ACE payroll system. This process will create new payee records in Kwik-Pay, including the name and address, pay rates, bank details, and regular pay items.

Comacc Payroll data (New Zealand only)

This option will import payee information from a Comacc payroll system. This process will create new payee records in Kwik-Pay, including the name and address, pay rates, bank details, and regular pay items.

MYOB Payroll data (New Zealand only)

This option will import a complete payroll from an MYOB payroll database, including all payee information and pay history. The process is fairly slow, but you will be able to continue in Kwik-Pay from where you left off in MYOB with very little effort on your part.

Kiwisaver KS1 data file (New Zealand only)

If you have another payroll system other than ACE, Comacc or MYOB, use this option to import basic payee information from a KS1 data file created by your old payroll system. Kwik-Pay will load new payee records with their name and address details.
