Rostered Days Off (Australia)

Several pay items have been pre-defined to handle the accrual and payment of rostered days off.

Accrue RDO

The 'Accrue RDO' pay item will calculate 5% of the employee's ordinary hours worked on the current payslip. The units will be 5% of the total of ordinary hours and the cash will be calculated at the employee's hourly rate, either award or over-riding rate entered in the payee, pay details screen. The units and cash calculated for the 'Accrued RDO' pay item are added to the RDO balances shown on the payee, leave details screen.

Accrued RDO on shifts basis

The 'Accrued RDO shifts' pay item is an example of an accrual of shifts for rostered days off. In this case, the number of shifts worked is entered in the pay item's units, and it calculates .4 of an hour at the employee's hourly rate for each shift worked. The units and cash add on to the RDO balances on the payee, leave details screen.

RDO Taken

'RDO Taken' is a pay item which pays the employee's current RDO balance. If you leave the units blank, it will pay the remaining RDO balance accumulated for the employee. If you enter a number of units, Kwik-Pay will pay that number of hours at the employee's hourly rate. Alternatively, you can also over-ride the cash in order to pay a specific amount.
