Restore Payroll Database

Menu: File ~ Restore Database
Button Panel: n/a

This process will restore one or more payroll databases from a ZIP file created by this system's backup.

Note that if the backup file does not exist, or is on a floppy disk and you have not inserted that diskette, no files can be restored. If the backup file is found, the selected files will be restored to the current directory.

Select Files to Restore

You can either restore all files contained within the backup file, or select individual files to restore. When you click 'Select files to restore', the program will open the backup file to get a list of available files to restore. If the backup file is found, a list of the files will be displayed in the left list and you can use the '>>', and '>' to add files to the list of files that will be restored. The '<<' and '<' buttons will remove files from the list of files to restore.

Start Restore

When you click the Restore button, the select files will be restored from the backup file and placed in the current directory. The current directory is the directory containing the current open payroll database, or the last opened database if one is not currently open.

As each file is restored you will see the name of the file and the progress in the bottom window.
